WALLZ 2024

For the fifth year, the WALLZ festival is trying to cultivate Pilsen's public space. For one week in June, the stars of the world street art scene will come to the West Bohemian metropolis to leave their works on the facades of houses, subways, garages and even the surface of entire streets. In this way, often unsightly and neglected places come to life with the colors of modern art and make life more pleasant for the inhabitants of the given locations.

It will be possible to observe the artist directly at work in selected places, among which are, for example, the Viaduct Doudlevce in E. Beneše Street, the staircase in Alej Svobody or the wall of the Viaduct U Prazdroje. Famous names from foreign artists will arrive in Pilsen, such as the American artist Emily Jo Eldridge, the Frenchman Black doors, who will present his unconventional technique of composing a picture from multi-colored tiles, or the Estonian Gutface. Among the Czech street artists, Zeb one with its geometric abstraction or Masker, who is known for motifs stylized into comic aesthetics, will leave their mark in the city.
 

Together with the participating artists, you too can unleash your creativity as part of the graffiti jam, which will take place on Thursday, June 20, at the anti-noise wall between Radobyčická and Přeštická streets. The festival final party will then take place on Friday, June 21 at the DEPO2015 organizing institution. In addition to graffiti lessons for children, an accompanying exhibition of Pilsen street art creators Tomáš Staňek and Josef Sedlák aka OBRAS AKROBAD entitled Krajina město will be ceremonially opened during the final evening.
