Born in France, Blackdoors has established himself as a distinctive artist in the streets of Paris with his original art. His art technique of gluing ceramic tiles to the walls brings texture and depth to his creations, evoking the age-old art of mosaic. His signature is the illusive "dark door" that, combined with bright trompe-l'oeil colours, creates the impression of being opened into a parallel world. His works attract passers-by with their well marked visuality and evoke a feeling of the possibility of escape, a kind of emergency exit, encouraging an optimistic perspective on the future despite the times affected by crises.
Blackdoors gains inspiration from various sources. A significant impulse for his artistic development was watching a documentary about the world-famous French street artist called Invader, which made him put down his brushes and start using tiles in his work. These became his means to create an optical illusion in the permanent presence of black gates. In cities, the author usually chooses smaller areas, various niches, columns, pillars. In Pilsen, he got the opportunity to create his largest mosaic yet, on the old, neglected facade of the stairs in alej Svobody. Several dark passages emerged on its surface, lined with a summer blue-yellow-orange combination of colors. The artist always bases his realizations on the form of the wall and its surroundings, as well as on the direction in which people walk, cars or trams drive. Therefore the work always works in one direction better than the other.
